Due to expectations issued by the RBA for mobile wallet providers to support Merchant Choice Routing, Apple has implemented changes to their Digital Wallet which may affect CWCU customers.

These changes will only affect customers who provision a Visa card on an eligible Apple device running the latest Apple update of iOS 18 or above.

This change means affected customers will no longer have the option to select their preferred payment network (Visa/EFTPOS) when making purchases in-store. Instead, with Merchant Choice Routing, the merchant will choose which network to route the transactions.

Those who have provisioned a CWCU Visa card in their Apple Wallet before upgrading to iOS 18 will not be affected by this change.
